November 2. 2013

It is a new chapter for the Brown familiy. My dad is officially a part owner of a cabin at bear lake. We got to use it for the first time this weekend! Decided to head up on thursday and headed out friday night. That is the joy of it. We can fly by the seat of our pants and go up for quick trips.

Tried out a razor. Looooved it. Jake borrowed it from a friend, but wouldn't mind if we had one. Just sayin. I had perma-smile.
Dad, the sorensens and the erni fam were all in attendance. Mumfords just had miss Mya, Jo was comedy man and mom was sick at home :(
Nate finally gave in (was forced) to an instagram account. Not sure why he was so anti. I think it was because he hates hashtags #####, and thinks that is all instagram is. I would always know little tid bits about what his siblings were up to. He would wonder how in the world I knew those things. Soooo, here is the secret Nate, in-sta-gram. Welcome n8erni! Glad you could get with the program. Oh and he posted his first picture. Pat on back.
Jax was sick, booger nose and all. Our dorm was the basement, thank heavens. Felt better about the rest of the cabin not being able to hear his "on the hour" wake-ups.
Best view EVAH!! Don't think I will ever get sick of it.
The boys played pool, Nate was surprised that I wasn't terrible when I took a shot for him.
Jax sat up for his first time. Have footage to prove it. Still needs a lot of practice though, but we are getting there.
Got to be lazy for a good 2 day. I can't just sit around at home without feeling like I should be doing other things, but I am awesome at sitting around on vaca.
Ummmm, Jax graduated from size 1 diapers. Long over due. Was not going to move him to 2's until I finished the bag I had opened. Such an important detail this is.

hallows eve

First time halloweeners here.

The night went something like this...

--dressed up --took pictures and my parents --went home.

Figured tricker treating wasn't necessary. Jax didn't care if we did and I'm sure there are many years to come of that business, so we'll take this year off.

Had lots of tricker treaters, Ran out of candy at 8:00 and had to shut down shop. Oops, we are new at this and had no idea how much candy we needed to buy.

Nate spend the whole Saturday before Halloween putting together an automated light show for the night. That's my husband... It really was pretty cool, but I don't think any of the kids noticed or appreciated. Ha, we'll see if he puts forth the effort next year.

pumkin walk

1st attempt to the famous north logan pumpkin was a fail. It was waaaayy too busy. Lines were disneyland long. Not a chance we were going to wait. Sometimes my dad's personality kicks in and I have a desire to run far, far away from large crowds or long lines, and run we did.

2nd attempt mother nature wasn't going to have it. Nate, Jax and I had plans to go during Nate's lunch. A storm hit and we had to scratch those plans. It had closed due to the winds blowing down the scenes.

3rd attempt at the pumpkin walk was the charm. Guess we were determined. Met Nate there right after he finished work. Had to beat the crowds. I think it was the best pumpkin walk to date. Weather was great to top it all off. Such a great photo op with the little person.

new friend

Jax made a new friend in the mirror. He was a friendly little guy and he keeps him entertained while I get ready for the day. (which on any given day is no sooner the noon.)
